B-mincome

B-mincome is a pilot project jointly funded by the EU’s Urban Innovative Actions programme and led by Barcelona City Council’s Area of Social Rights. B-mincome develops a comprehensive policy to face poverty and social exclusion. This represents the combination of a passive public policy in the form of an economic aid and active socio-labor policies. As partners of this project, we have developed the B-mincome application that helps tracking all the bills and the communication between the beneficiaries and the social workers.

Tetramax provides an implementation of the European Smart Anything Everywhere (SAE) initiative in the domain of customized and low-energy computing for cyber physical systems and the internet of things. We are a Competence Center of the network of excellence.

My-trac is devoted to research and development of user-centric services to enhance the passenger multimodal door-to-door experience. This helps citizens develop greater confidence in, and adhesion to, multimodal transport services.

Mobility Polls

Mobility Polls

Status: In development

Mobility Polls is a pilot project done in collaboration with AMTU, which will enable Smart Cities to make dynamic and continuous polls to citizens using different kinds of transportation systems. For instance, the algorithms implemented in this Mobile application for transportation users are able to detect among different kind of transportation modes using machine learning technics. This very valuable data is then processed to give meaningful feedback to the city about the continuous mobility flows of citizens and insights on which lines should be improved.

Industrial doctorate under SEAT PhD program in Smart Mobility. We are helping them define how what happens in the city in real-time has to affect the drivers. 

RACC

RACC

Status: Finished

Pilot project with RACC to provide them a tool to automatically be able to optimize routes for their pick-up services for crashed cars on the road. The tool took into account different toll-away services pricing and characteristics, such as the number of vehicles each tow truck can load. 

BSM

Analysis of the use of the loading and unloading areas in the city of Barcelona. We were able to detect anomalies in the use of the parking areas and describe patterns of use along the day. 

IT2Rail

The IT2Rail project is designed as the first step towards the long-term Shift2Rail 4th Innovation Programme “IT Solutions for Attractive Railway Services”. Its main objective is to enable the development of solutions providing a seamless travel experience by giving access to a complete multimodal travel offer.

The Scalable Community Detection on the Cloud (SCDC) project is based on an algorithm born form the conjunct work of DAMA-UPC and Sparsity. SCDC aims at understanding the structures and organisation of social networks.

Common Query Engine (CQE) is a platform that aims to provide an easy and efficient way of communication between the wide variety of data management systems available nowadays. The CQE is a central piece to interconnect data stores and it executes the queries in the CloudMdsQL language, which defines a syntax to mix operations among data repositories. Clients using the CQE will have a seamless experience, feeling that all the systems act as a single database.
